Pretty straight forward, remove the fill plug first...oil the shifter, adjust the linkages and replace any worn shift linkage bushings. It makes a BIG improvement you'll feel every shift.

PM 5thscaleracer for the delrin bushing kit. Probably a good idea to ask if there's any difference for your specific application.

Someone please elaborate about delrin...I'm not familiar with it. Are the delrin bushings made for W124 automatic shifter bushings?
Thanks!!!

See this thread for more info about about the delrin bushings.
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-benz-performance-paddock/387412-can-shifter-mercedes-designed-5-speed-ever-feel-precise.html I'm not aware of anything similar for auto shifters. Here's 5thscale's W201 recently featured on Smoking Tire One Take. https://youtu.be/lGNImP1YmJg?t=100 |
