No Tail Light, No Brake lights- Reverse, turn ok

Hi all,

The electrical system in these is a weak point for me, I don't know where to begin.

My turn signals and reverse lights work, but no tail lights or brake lights. The bulbs are good, I haven't replaced my brake light switch because I don't even have tail lights, so I assumed that isn't the problem.

Has anyone dealt with this?

Many thanks,
Bates

Next place I would look is the headlight switch, but getting a wiring diagram for the car will help because there may be something else on the circuit that's easier to rule out first. Recently helped a friend source a blowing fuse for the right side running lights on his car and it was that a wire was shorting from when he deleted the headlight wipers. Messing with the headlight switch can be a pain.

Yes, I certainly need a wiring diagram, I am not used to electrical issues with these, so its a whole new arena for me.

Thanks!

Lighting relay? I had a bad relay on my '95 e300 that killed my brake lights.
