I have the dash cluster out on my 1991 300d to change the bulbs, and I want to take out the airbag from the passenger side (my car has no glovebox but the airbag instead) to get to the bulb in the center vent. I saw some instructions of how to take the airbag out and thought as long as I'm here, maybe I should replace the one pod. I'm assuming all of mine are bad so it worthwhile replacing just the one behind the glovebox area while I'm there, or is doing just one not really gaining me anything? I probably won't be doing the other 4 behind the dash as the guy in this thread outlines. He says only 2 are easy to get to, the one behind the glovebox and one somewhere near the footwell.

Also what pod is behind the glovebox area, a single chamber or a dual chamber or diverter or what? And what does that one do? The defroster area or center vents or what?
Thanks,
