Window Tint

Is blue window tint standard on an 82 300D rear window? Mine has it and between that and the blue mirror I can never see the proper tuning indicating smoke. Would I be offending any purist if I removed the tint?

That was not put on by the factory. A previous owner had it installed.

Great! anyone ever tried that spray on tint remover? Will it harm the rear defroster lines?
