2010 ML BLUETEC exhaust codes need advise... posted pics

so I bought a 2010 ML 350 bluetec with 140K for $5800
really nice SUV new tires
Been a Seattle car its whole life
Its got a clogged DPF
its got a few codes I'm just not sure if the codes are being caused by the clog or if they are causing the clog

P2458 regen duration
P2463 DPF restriction
P2459 DPF regen freq.

It also has code P2005 intake runner control stuck
but I believe that is a diff issue

PS I can remove the DPF and have it cleaned at my local Kenworth dealer for $350 plus r&r

P2458 regen duration
P2463 DPF restriction
P2459 DPF regen freq.

Length of regen is probably longer than computer thinks it should be.
Frequency of regen is probably longer than computer thinks it should be.
Diesel particulate filter plugged.

I'm not sure but I suspect this application is similar to the E class applications. You have a front DPF where the oxygen content is measured on each side of it then you have another device that MB calls a front exhaust pipe. This section has a diesel particulate filter in it too but the measurement device across it is measuring pressure differential. I suspect that this is where the system gets it's signal to determine regin duration and frequency. Remove both and have them cleaned will resolve that but I'd suggest trying to determine why they plugged too.

How's your oil consumption? Checked blowby lately?

Thanks for the advise.....I just purchased the vehicle with no service records
is there a diagram showing me what parts of the exhaust need to removed for cleaning

I will be getting the oil changed this next week
I owned a 87 300d and a 98 e300 both I ran Mobile1 turbo diesel oil.
is that also okay to run in the bluetec?

Mobil1 0W30 ESP has Mercedes spec 229.52 on it. I've also run Mobil1 Delvac Synthetic 0W40 ESP. Make sure it has ESP on it.

Nice looking ride! Thats a good deal even if the DPF needs some work!

I'm hoping my DPF goes that long without cleaning, that'd be over 70,000 more miles!
I've got several truck service centers around me that can likely clean mine also.

Make sure you run a low-ash oil. Personally this is what I run....
