1976 240d injection pump issues.

The front two fuel lines aren't dripping any fuel when trying to purge system of air. The back two drip but not much pressure. Replaced leaking hand primer pump in hopes to fix problem but no luck.

Are you trying to bleed the lines one at a time or all open at once? I'd think they could only be bled one at a time. Not sure how you are doing the bleeding but IIRC, everything (hard lines and cloth return lines too) should be closed and it bleeds through the cloth return lines.

What started this situation? This may help us figure it out.

Good luck!!!

Had the Fuel Injection Pump been running good previous to you doing work on it?

You bleed the air out of the fuel supply system by pumping on the hand primer enough that you here kind of a sequel or buzzing sound coming from the Fuel Pressure relief/over flow valve.

You bleed air out of the fuel injection hard lines by loosening the hard line nuts at the Injectors and cranking the Engine till fuel reliable comes out of them. If the fuel did not come out of all of them you can tighten the ones that the fuel did come out of and see if it is enough to start the engine.

If the Engine starts tighten up the loose fuel injection hard line nuts and see if you have any misses.

I purchased the car not long ago after being told it ran when it was parked. So it sat for like 5 years supposedly but who knows. Ive just been trying to get it to start and upon watching videos online ive tried various things to get all the air out of the pump but still cant get fuel out of the first two lines. I took the lines off and blew air through them and they're clear.

Try to create a closed loop system to run 2 cans of diesel purge through. As 911 said, crank the car over with the flowing injector nuts slightly loose so that you see diesel dripping. Keep doing this for a while then tighten the nuts and try starting the car (on Diesel purge closed loop).

If you have good compression and good glow plugs you should be able to start and run it on wd40 sprayed into the intake (not through the filter). Once you get it to run that way the pump should prime itself in a minute or two if it is working correctly.
