It is not impossible to fix it but not with the typical tools someone would have to work on their cars with. It is a machining job.

It would need to be accurately drilled out to a larger size. Then a steel busing with an OD that matches the hole and the hole size of the bolt in the center of it inserted in and perhaps epoxied in with JB Weld.

If you were able to do that would it screw up the balance? I don't know.

You can try steel putty. It is dirt cheap and you can shape it to fill the hole. It hardens into steel.

Disclaimer: I have used it but for different application. I used it to set a stud into a big hole on the cylinder head. It was 40k miles ago and counting.

I'd look really closely at the bushing in the center of the flange, it may have become damaged. Also, the drive disc will likely need to be replaced if the steel spacers are worn.

Are you in the USA / Canada? If so, have a look on car-part.com , this searches participating salvage yards.

When working with damaged parts, sometimes what a person wants to do ( not get a drive shaft ) is overridden by what makes a lasting / cost effective fix.
