190D fuel tank sending unit cleaning
I have a stuck fuel tank sending unit float and want to take it apart to clean it. I have cleaned many dozens of these in other models but never on a 201. On all the others I have done you just remove the nut at the bottom and the tube comes off. On this one, there is some soft of plastic disk on the bottom that does not turn at all. I have googled and come across a couple of different posts on various forums. One mentions a screw in the top of the unit at the angled part that you remove and the tube comes off. Others talk about some sort of nut at the bottom. I have also seen post talking about just prying the tube off. So, how do get the tube off?

Forget about the timeplastic looking ring at the bottom. It confused me big time. It doesn't come off. There is a lock ring in the middle of the sender. Push it down and slide it out. It is quite tight as it was dimpled ( pressed ) in on 2 sides. Once it is removed, pry off the plastic a little bit to release the catch and slide the tube off. Good luck.
