OM603 valve springs NLA?

Can't seem to find valve springs for sale anywhere. Almost every vendor has lifters and valve keepers but no springs. While searching for performance upgrades, I stumbled across an old thread that mentioned M103 valve springs fit and that they were slightly higher rated in pressure as well. I can find those very cheaply through my shop's part vendor and seems like it's the only option at the moment...

Any reason against ordering up some M103 valve springs and tossing them in there? Just finished porting the head before it goes back so top end power is definitely the goal anyways. If the head holds up it'll be getting a S200SX turbo. I'm hoping the diesel cam lobe specs are a-OK with the extra seat pressure.

About $5 each from the dealer

You have to use an EPC like Partsouq or the Russian EPC to find these sorts of parts. Don't be afraid to buy stuff from the dealer, often it's as cheap or cheaper than aftermarket. Several dealers run discount parts websites.

Totally agree with the above. I buy every single part from the main dealer. As our cars age, its the only way to know there some semblance of quality going back into them.

Boo, Hiss, don't you know that many diesel owners on this list hate 'dem evil dealers?

Any report back on the results? I found the original springs for my Om602 but I’m going to try the M103 springs. I also found this company that makes custom racing springs for these motors called BlackSmokeRacing but I don’t have their springs yet
