China Blue 934 at home in the Palmetto State

I worked on this car years ago, circa 2012 or 2013. The previous owner drove down to Columbia, South Carolina from Atlanta, Ga., for an injector rebuild and install. My wife commented about this car every 'blue moon' ... it is stunning.

Fast forward around seven years and I noticed this:

http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-benz-cars-sale/401454-sale-1981-300d.html

We drove to the Atlanta, Ga. metro vicinity last month, with the wife since she wanted to check out the car herself. I had some orders to truly liquidate my MB junk. I have been following orders, but even this car passed the wife's approval, so total reversal. Now, two MBs: Red and China Blue 934

This car truly appears new, inside and out.

Brought it home last Friday-- had to tow it. I would never, ever risk driving it from Atlanta, Ga. back home. Unloaded the trunk. What a treasure trove of parts.

Agenda:

Install Euro Headlights, Bosch NOS with Bosch NOS side markers

Figure out how to remove old license plate -- fasteners just spin and spin. Not sure if they are accessible from the rear?

Change oil and oil filter -- a little early, but want to get that done before Thanksgiving.

Fuel System maintenance: injector refresh, OFV, filters, and new lines. The PO did the fuel tank, had it dipped, and coated. This way, the entire fuel system will literally be done except the IP.

Slight mods down the road: Euro rear headrests, sun roof wind deflector, and mud flaps.

That's the way to buy them, clean and original, and a great price IMO.

I'll say it, China blue is the best W123 color. Also, you definitely got this car at a good price. Congrats man

Not to repeat everything already said... but beautiful car for a great price. Nice for the seller too with some peace of mind knowing that the car is going to someone excited about it that will care for it.

Wow, great looking car. I love the China Blue color.

Screaming good deal you got on it to. I think out here in LA area a car like that would fetch at least a couple thousand more, although I wouldn't be surprised to see one in that condition plus the unique color listed in the $10k neighborhood.

Euro Headlight coversion and Euro Side-Marker Conversion

Of course I picked the coldest week so far this winter in the Palmetto state to work on China Blue. Was getting a little home-crazy. Recovering from shoulder surgery.

So, Euro headlights which should have been a 30-minute deal took around two hours. Tough with a non-usable right arm. However, this was my first venture to go outside and do "something."

Euro Headlights' Conversion and a special surprise -- Bosch Euro Side markers (orange deal and not the yellow US DOT type).

Both pairs, headlights and side markers were brand new, NIB NOS.

Super happy with the results !

This spring I will pull the glass covers and run them through the dishwasher. Makes them super crystal clear. Super happy I bought the correct Mercedes' Dealer fastener / install kit. Got the two kits from the UK. Best pricing and a true, NOS kit.

I still have a trunk load (literally) of new parts to install or sell. I have two extra sets of NIB Euro Headlights and wiring kits.

I love a nice clean 123.

If I could find a like new 123 240d wagon, I'd buy it and drive it til I croak.
