OM617 turbo drain hole size

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone here had a OM617 out of the car or is in the process of doing the turbo drain reseal - I want to eliminate the stock drain system and just use a drain hose. To do this, I will use a 3/4" barb fitting on the turbo and tap the drain hole in the upper pan to screw in a barb fitting there as well.

I do not want to go through all the difficulty of pulling the oil drain tube to measure the hole, this is my daily driver (and only car, currently) and I don't want to keep it out of commission any longer than it needs to be. Can anyone tell me the size of the turbo drain hole in the upper oil pan?

I have seen user mach4's hose conversion from 2011, but he does not mention any sizes in his post.

Thanks
Max
