Auxillary water pump - hose sizes?
 

i've got a dead aux water pump in my '83 300SD. i have a newer style, brushless motor Mercedes aux pump and i'm wondering if the hose diameters are the same. would anyone have the original aux pump on the bench they could measure the inlet and outlet OD from?

A 3/4 inch ID hose fits over them and clamps down correctly, so 19 mm.

Actual measurement is 15.5 mm!

good to know the exact. i pulled my old pump and the armature was locked solid and the windings burnt black. got another OEM style pump and it actually had less current draw than the brushless design so i used the original style.

not a terrible job to replace.. just fiddly.
