OM617 front engine oil leak
Im trying to figure out where a light coating of oil is coming from on the front of my OM617, its a light coat all over the front going as high up as right up to the cylinder head. The head itself is dry so I know its not the valve cover. I think its either the front crank seal or the vacuum pump gasket. Since there is some oil above the vacuum pump, is there any way for it to be the vacuum pump gasket? Im hoping its not the front crank seal...

use oil dye with a uv light.
May have to take apart stuff like the fan to see better and of course do it when it's dark and compare before and after |

Degrease the Engine with something like engine degreaser and then periodically start looking and feeling for leaks. Feel for the leaks when the engine is cold.
