Something is happening to my tire

I was on the road today and was pulling up to an intersection to make a uTurn. As I was attempting to make a uturn I turned to make a deep left turn I heard a awful grinding noise almost like somewhat was shredding on my right tire. I got home ASAP and started doing some investigating I noticed there was almost a 3 inch deep gaze in my tire. It seems to be the tire is rubbing up against something, but I don't know where.

I had someone turn the wheel left and right as I was under the car inspection, but I couldn't see anything rubbing against the tire

I should note I was involved in a fender bender a month ago my front bumper was pushed in and my aligment was out of wack. However afterwards the accident I started driving the car encountering no issues.

Any ideas what it could be?

Have someone else drive the car slowly whilst you stand back a good safe distance whilst they apply the brake. Watch for any fore/aft movement compared to the other side in the wheel while stopping straight and in a turn.

Recheck the work recently done for loose components.

My guess is that the tire got damaged/cut in the recent crash and is just showing the damage now. That looks like a heavy slice from a sharp object such as a fender well. It appears the shock is leaking in the picture.

Can you see any rub marks on other surfaces? Does the car sit level?

Good luck!!!

I also think this is likely from the accident and the tire finally shed the cut part, getting caught somewhere in the wheel well.
