W 124 300D Door Wiring Loom

Hello everyone,,
My 1996 124 Diesel Kombi has intermittent door electrical problems.

Furthermore it looks as if the door might have been strained at some time. I'm in half a mind to change the loom inside the door. Other non Merc cars I've had experience with have a connector just inside the car itself somewhere around the base of the A post. This allows you to replace just the sub loom in the door.

I would substitute this with a second hand item assuming new was pricey.

To save me from stripping bits of interior out in a futile search for something that does not exist can anybody please confirm the existence and position of the connector(s) if indeed there is such a thing

Many thanks,
Hardus1.
