Diesel W115: Clock to Tachometer Swap?

Greetings!

Has anyone swapped out the dash clock for a tachometer on a diesel stroke 8? I would sure find it useful to know how hard the engine is revving.

If I remember correctly a member Funola did it in a W123 do a search under he’s name

I'm partial to having a non-operational clock, but that's just me.

It’s just so nice to see something moving! Were I to get the tachometer from the W114, would the diesel have somewhere for the connecting cable to connect to?
