Greetings. I'm brand-new to the OM617 club - thoroughly impressed with the motor. I'm wrapping up a full rebuild and almost ready to test-fire on a stand but I've got a part I don't know where it came from and … you know.

I'm sure somebody out there knows exactly where / what it is - please help

Air bleed line from block to cylinder head.
Location: top front right corner of engine.

This air bleed line was used only on engines up to serial number 617952 XX 089302.

I bought a new one on ebay 2 years ago made by Meyle (my original developed a crack). It was an in-expensive part.
If you change it don't forget you need 4 crush washers.
