OM648 What are the signs of leaking injector seals?

I have permanently removed the engine covers (finally) on both of my CDIs. So no fear of black death.

When the injector seals do eventually begin to leak, how will I know? Will there be symptoms I will observe?

I do have an exhaust sensor...maybe just check once a year or so.

Just look at them every few weeks is what I tell my customers. It is quite evident when they start.

Look closely at the base of the injectors. You can see the black tar like substance. It will start out small.
