RedLine additives
I see a lot of folks add a RedLine additive to their fuel. After going to their site I see they have 2 offered (besides the anti-wax additive), "RedLine Fuel Catalyst" and "RedLine 85 Plus".
Which is recommended for normal use/maint on a high miles 240D? Thanks. |

Either one works fine. I think the 85+ has a cetane increasing additive along with the cleaning additives.
I use RedLine on all the diesels -- seems to help with cold knock on the 220 (real cure is an engine overhaul!), and reduces smoke on the others. Peter

I recently got friendly with the local Red Line distributor and he now sells me their stuff wholesale by the case. I have used the syn ATF, 85+ and syn oil for diesels with good success. Great stuff, just expensive, even at wholesale.
