Thermostat which way?
I feel stupid. I removed my old thermostat and was so busy cleaning and catching fluid I for got which way it came out. I think the spring side goes toward the head? Is that right?

|
The element side goes toward the engine so the hot coolant will cause the thermostat to open. This is the side that is larger, measured from the mounting flange.
