Which ATF for auto trans
So I bought this 240D with an automatic trans. I want to change all the fluids but need to know which fluid to use for the trans.
Can anyone help?

I use Mobil 1 Syth. for tranny and differential in the 79 SD. Stays very clean and runs smoothly.

|
DexronIII/Mercon is recommended, it's what I would use. If you use a synthetic, make sure it states that it replaces or is compatable with DexronIII/Mercon.

Mobil 1 synthetic ATF is good stuff. It made my SD shift much more smoothly. It was $4.99 a quart at AutoZone.

Should have guessed. I've been going syntehtis on everything but the oil on my 350.
