Why are the Bilstein jacks tilted when jacking up the car?
On my W124 I was using the Bilstein jack the other day. It's obviously designed so when the car is being jacked up, the jack it tilted a lot. Why is it that way?

I think so that it's basically locked between the car and the ground so it can't come out, but probably more importantly so that it follows a certain arc along with the car. You'll notice that the bases aren't flat either, they're made to rock as the car gets lifted.

I asked the same question, got the same answer.
