Hello. I was wondering if the plug that connects to the oil sending unit is universal? Because i am replacing the oil pan an plan on replacing the sending unit since it always sends a low oil warning to my gauge cluster.... problem is when i took it off it crumbled in my hands :/ ..... is there a part # for that electrical piece or can i use a universal type plug in an splice into the old line??

Every part has a part number. Perhaps you might share which vehicle, make, model and year, so you might get some valid advise to help solve your problem. We have some smart guys here but only a few can read minds.

My apologies. Its a 1987 300sdl . Ive done a google search but maybe im not putting in the correct name.

The sensor pin is similar to a lot of sensors in the car. Just find a female plug which fits and you are good to go. PM me. I may have a spare one around.
