Self leveling system v. blown shocks
Hi everyone. I was trying to test out my rear shocks so I pushed the back end down and it bounced a couple of times before coming to a rest. I figured this meant new shocks were in order, but then I remembered the self leveling system. It would affect the # of bounces wouldn't it? How can I tell if it's my shocks that are blown or my self-leveling system isn't working? Thanks

Well with a self leveling system, you DON'T want to have blown shocks. They are about $250 a piece. Now that I gave you a heart attack, is your car sagging? The check out for the system is to put about 300 pounds in the back and rev the engine to a "high" idle, and you should see the backend rise. Usually what goes on these systems are the air cells. There are 2 of them. I have read that if you here knocking noises from the backend when going over bumps, are a sign of bad shocks.
