Throttle linkage

Hi folks, long story short, I think the throttle linkage bushing in my 83 300D went out or is going out. Driving to work today all of a sudden I felt a tiny pop in the accelerator pedal and it went right to the floor with no resistance. I pulled over and opened the hood. I found one of the linkage rod sockets had popped off the ball stud. Further investigation showed the rubber linkage bushing that is bolted to the firewall had "walked" forward pushing the one linkage rod off the ball stud. I was able to see part of a white plastic piece on the linkage bushing I had never seen before. I was able to push the bushing back together and reconnect the linkage. No issues the remaining drive. Now the questions.....I know little to nothing about this bushing, so....how hard is it to replace? does anyone have a part number for it? Is the a DIY anywhere I can read? Hopefully I can order a new one or find a used one somewhere quickly. Thanks for any help

I believe this is the one you need:

They were hard to find, but someone has started making them again recently.

Easy Job PSA. Every time I buy a new 123 I replace it with a junkyard version but this new polyurethane one looks great and I will order one just for my stock. thank you

This is it.
The guy that makes them is a good guy and does quality work. He just lowered the price too, which is pretty cool considering he has been selling a lot of these.

Uh oh, I finally got around to buying it and now that etsy link is a 404. Anyone know the guy or know where to get a replacement?

Yes I do know him actually, I will ask him what’s going on and report back. He’s on this forum occasionally too.

In case someone wants is in a hurry and needs to make one. I go by 300Dman on the Benz world forum. Thread has nice large pictures.
