Remove Wax from Black Trim
If anyone has ever battled wax stains on black rubber trim, my advice is to mask off the paint and use a Mr Clean Magic Eraser. I've tried all the other ways I've seen online, special products, rubber erasers, scotch bright pads, degreasers, even paint thinner, and nothing worked. A couple of minutes with a magic eraser and this annoying problem is gone!
Now my front end is perfect... apart from stone chips... bad headlight doors... a hole in the grille... and the bumper cover strip... and rusting on the fender seams....... Last edited by YousefTAK; 04-09-2021 at 11:36 AM. |

Thanks for the tip! My wife came up with a good solution as well. She cut off most of an acid brush to create really stiff bristles then used it with mineral oil and it worked pretty well. If that doesn't last, I'll try your idea next.
