Why #22 specifically? Anything #17+ is all good.

There appear to be several redesigns of the head of which #22 is the final iteration. It's speculation but it might mean that's when they finally fully ironed out the issue.

As regards your sig: the bible appears to deal in plenty of lies itself. ;-)

#22 has an enclosed oil crossover passageway. This is important on a 3.4L 603.97x or on a highly boosted/tuned 3.0L. On a street car, any #17 or above head is a "definitive" fix for the 3.0L cracked head issues. If you're running a 3.0L and just have to have the latest head, they're worth the money. Otherwise, a #17 or higher is perfectly adequate.

Odd to me... the casting was etched in head upside down to every other casting number i have seen

The injectors were angled... so plus there
But has anyone ever seen the raised casting number upside down ??? Upside down from drivers side

The question is--- has anyone EVER seen the Head casting number-- etching UPSIDEDOWN on the head??? is the #22 i recently looked at a counterfeit?

ALL casting # I have ever seen in person/or picts of... were rightside up looking from Drivers side 2nd/3rd injectors...

this one had the Angled injectors and one number was "filed" down to allow for the angled injector... but Number etched was UPSIDE down from drivers side...

NEVER seen that b4
