‘05 vs ‘06 CDI electric rad fans
Hey y’all
Can somebody learn me the difference between the electric cooling fan for the 2006 e320 cdi vs the 2005? I’m looking for a replacement and when I search for 2005 i see many option ranging in price from reasonable to Yeee. When I search 2006. (What I have) I only see remanufactuted originals for big $. Anybody tell me What’s up with this?

I wonder if it's some sort of glitch in the catalog database....I would think the fans would be identical. Will be interested to hear what you find out.

Now I am working to identify, isolate and test the fan system. I need to narrow in on the issue first. Will probably start a new thread about that

Replace the temp sensor with a 2 k potentiometer the fan should turn on/off and change speed based on resistance. Or read the codes.
