Question ATF Cooler Pipe Grommets / Rubbers

Hi All ;

1981 W126 300SD .

The steel pipes that go between the transmission and radiator have rubber grommets/supports/bushings where they're held in metal clips .

I've look at hundreds of pages and can't seem to find them here at Pelican Parts .

Might someone know the correct part number or be able to provide a link ? .

My brother's battered 300SD needs all six of these, of course he waited until the supporting clamp rubbed a hole in the steel line and it lose a lot of ATF .

I wrangled a good used one out of a decent SD in the greasiest LKQ yard I've ever worked in (ugh) but I have zero interest in replacing it until I find and order, all six of these important parts .

TIA,

Nate, A seller has 3 on eBay currently. Search on Mercedes transmission cooler hard line grommet. FYI there doesn't seem to be others readily available.

There's just one size.

#110 is 112 997 02 81 (Grommet, Oil Line To Transmission Case)

#85 is 112 997 02 81 (Grommet, Oil Line to Engine Right/Left)

Nate, A piece of rubber fuel hose or vinyl clear tubing sliced and put over the cooler line should work.

Yes. just make it longer as there is no lip on it to keep it captive in the clamp.

Post Helping Hands

Yes, I know but I prefer to do things correctly if I can .

Replacing those damn grommets takes a lot of patience .

I understand and respect that, it is like your signature. It says you did that and it is done properly.

Nate, Search on marine grade insulated electrical clamps. They might work well and look correct.

Post Adel Clamps

https://www.amazon.com/adel-clamps/s?k=adel+clamps

They're handy lil' suckers, I first encountered them as clamps for the front license tag on 1956 1967 VW Bugs......

Customizers love them to tidy up exposed wiring .

Please define correctly. If you do something and it functionally works why is that not correct. And there is no cosmetic issue.

If you are restoring a collector's car or some museum piece what you say apples.

If you don't get the exact one's other rubber items many do not take the heat or exposure to petroleum products.
