timing chain tensioner

1995 E300D, 325,000 miles.

Trying to replace the timing chain tensioner. Removed the old one, engine at TDC, no big deal. Charged the new on with oil, screwed it in, torqued it to 65nm/48 ft/lbs, fired up the engine and I now own my own oil well. I read the thread on here and followed the instructions. Removed it, new crush washer, same results. Part is from FCP Euro so I know it is good. Suggestions?

Thanks,

Len
