AC dryer high Temperature Switch
Does anyone know at what refrigerant temperature the red temperature switch on the dryer closes to activate the auxiliary fan?
I have heard that it is at 52 degrees C. The pressure at 52 degrees C for R-12 is about 180 to 200 psi. Also, what is the temperature difference between the old green switch and the new red switch (i know red is lower temperature, but I do not know what the specific difference is). Thanks

has anyone ever had a failure in one of these. Mine goes on only above 300 psi (between 300 and 350, and it varies). I will fix it over the winter, since I drive with the AC in traffic, I have shorted the aux fan.
