What is a Mercedes 200t?
I realize that this might not be a diesel question but here goes ..............
I have ran across an ad (locally) here in Canada for a 1983 Mercedes 200t wagon. What family of MB cars does this belong to? Is it a European model? Maybe a diesel Good car? Aivars |

It's probably a 200T (W123).
2.0l I-4 carburated engine. The body is a wagon. It's a gas powered car.

The 200 series are the base model of the W123's. No wood trim, manual windows all around, no sunroofs, no AC, no rear speakers, no moldings on window frames, etc. But that does make them cool in a weird way.

I saw a 200D W123 near DC awhile back with diplomatic tags. It was a blue car, the sister of my '82 300D - but with Euro lights, etc. It seemed barely adequate for keeping up with stop-and-go traffic on I-95.
Must be real fun to merge onto the interstate in a W123 with a 2.0-liter non-turbocharged engine! Ken300D |

Thanks for all the info. I contacted the owner and it is a 2 l gas motor with a 4 speed that is originally from Germany.
Since I'm now addicted to the sound, smell and acceleration of my 240d, I don't think this is worth a look. Aivars |
