This Must Be a Euro 1985 300D
First one of these I've even seen a picture of in the USA.
Wonder if they sold both the W123 and W124 in Europe as a 1985 model year? It's definitely non-turbo, and I'm trying to decide if that's an EGR valve on the left side of the engine. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1851986060 Ken300D |

I'm pretty sure they sold the W124 in Europe in '85. There have been people on here, from Europe, who have accidentally mistaken my 300D for a W124...

Well are there distinct things that a euro version would have or wouldn't have that let you know for sure? I see the license plate mountings are for our size plates... I am assuming all license plates in europe and the UK are those big things. Though maybe that seller is incorrect about the year as well.

W124 Euro model has bumpers and license plate mounts that look the same as the US model. On the US model, if you remove the license plate holder, it exposes the Euro plate mount, which is what seems to be the case on that car.
