samstagsales

Thank you,

I've checked on samstagsales.com the set of three wrenches for valves adjustement. They seems to be perfect, except the price which is pretty expensive : 75$.

What is the 3rd wrench for ? To prevent the cap on the top of the valve spring to move ?

yes, that is what it is for

The third wrench was very helpful for me.

I paid about $65 at performance products, but if you are in the EU, shipping may be a killer.

You can get by with a pair of cheap 14mm wrenches, a torch and bend to shape. The third wrench is sometimes needed, but I usually get by without it.

Good luck,

Actually I hesitate between purchase to cheap wrench and then bent them or purchase the "official" set of wrenches while I'm in the US.
But anyway, if I need the special wrench (the famous 3rd one) which cost 22$ itself, it's maybe better to buy the all set for 40 extra $ ?

Question Will these work???

I have a 603 OM so I don't have to adjust it's valves, nonetheless I've been keeping an eyeout for all things 123/61X and I saw these auctioned buy Samstag and wondered if they would also do the job?! They are 14MM but appear to have shorter handles although the handle bend radii look to be nearly the same as the longer handled wrenches? It seems that the asking prices and the selling prices for these shorter wrenches is less than the longer ones, perhaps they would work as well at a lesser price? Should be cheap to add longer handle to these wrenches. As the area of contact between the tool and the work is the most important you'd have a good Hazet wrench head with modified handles fairly cheap! Just a thought and an observation, if anyone has any opinion why they would not be suitable, please?
Good Luck!

oh yeah here's the link too!

P.S. by the way having done a little business with Samstag I been very well served with very high quality tools quickly delivered!
