vibration in reverse
 

I HAVE JUST FINISHED DOING SOME VACUUM WORK ON MY 1982 300D AND NOW I HAVE A SITUATION WHERE THE CAR IS VIBRATING BAD WHEN I PUT IT IN REVERSE, ANY HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM WOULD BE APPRECIATED, DAN

Is this vibration at idle or when you're moving? My 83 300D wouldn't move but a few inches in reverse one day(ok the previous day). The problem was a half axle. It moved ok in forward. Posted a thread on this a few weeks ago under half-axles. It all depends on the mode of vibration. Hope this helps. Lee
