looking for a clean 84 SD?...check this out
take a look at this vehicle on e-bay
cleanest old SD I have seen in years....reminds me of my old one...but mine weasn't as clean even has the hottest color currently...silver/blk Warren 1992 300SD 150K Columbus Ohio

Nice! Maybe I should get a nice southern car like this from E-Bay and ship it here... then I can have something rust less.... since I do not drive my car in the rain much and not at all when it snows..

Chris..why do you think the bid history is suspicious?
Also, can anyone elaborate on the presence of those chrome wheel trims? Were they an option or a dealer added accesory or one of those Pep Boy add ons?

There is SO much crap going-on on Ebay that it's hard NOT to be synical and suspicious. Don't know if those chrome wheel trims were ever offered as as factory option but, they are widely available nearly everywhere. Some well made...some not. Chris '85 300SD

FWIW I have the chrome fender trim on my 81 SD and have seen it on a few other SD's. Don't know if it came from the factory that way but may have been a popular dealer option at the time.

I think the chrome lips were huge accessory back in the early/mid 80's...just like the gold accents were a few years later
my 85 SD had the chrome lips and the car actually looked good with them.... Warren 1992 300SD Columbus Ohio
