I can assure you it isn't as I am the one listing it. It was the air conditioning evaporator water from a SLK230.

That looks like a great vehicle. My 1998 is really a pleasure to drive, once I get past my preference for a manual transmission. I have owned mine for a year and had relatively little in the way of trouble, and no items that prevented the car from serving its purpose. I just had the transmission fluid/filter and power steering fluid changed (because I think there is a disconnect between MB's definition of "lifetime of the vehicle" fluids and what I consider or more accurately want the vehicle's lifetime to be) and look forward to running this car until it has half a million miles on it. Someone will be getting quite a nice vehicle.
Turbodiesel, how is it you are listing the car on E-Bay? Jim

Way to go John - you had mentioned a while back (I seem to remember) that you were interested in getting into the car business.
Good luck with your venture.

What a great idea for a business!
Too bad you're not here in California. I know a number of people who would use a service like yours. Do you work on a flat fee, or do you get a percentage of the sales amount of the vehicle?

Flat fees. One fee to list, one fee if it sells

Thanks, Jim. It seems to really be taking off, if it keeps growing at it's current rate, I'll have a 99 E300 in notime

So the listing fee probably pays for your time, and the expense in creating the ad, pictures, replying to questions for buyers, yada yada yada.
This probably is good incentive for the seller in not asking for an exorbitantly high price and you not getting paid (should the car not sell).

Drove a 99 e300td yesterday, Oh my god is this a dream car or what!!!! Just a slight vibration at idle letting you know it was a diesel, actually stood in front of the car with the hood open and held a ten minute conversation with the seller without having to raise my voice. Now just have to figure out which is the easiest bank to rob the guy wants 32 for it Black on black with 29K on the clock. The ebay color will be much prefered, well wait and see.
BTW those are some very good shots what camera did you use??? Fareed |
