1985 300 CD should I buy?
Friend of mine has a 1985 300 CD coupe he took in on trade.
Has 194K but has had its engine replaced with a300TD out of a wagon. Car is rough and needs some TLC. I'm wondering what this thing is worth. Needs a good bath and engine cleaning to she what I'm getting into. Help from the Diesel forum.please

Make sure...
1. Rear glass is in good condition (it's expensive!!!) 2. Body is straight 3. Rear quarter windows work (they are a pain to adjust when need to be fixed.) 4. Sunroof works 5. A/C works 6. No rust! I have a coupe too and the sunroof and windows are not working

The primo 300CDs go for $5K to $6k. Depending on how much this needs, maybe half that?

I am keeping an eye out for one of those perfect 300CD's or 280CE's or any of the coupes except for the 280C's (dont want the carbs)
