halfshaft bolt question ?

When I ask about ordering a half shaft , they want to know if it is a 8 mm or 12 mm version . Well all I could go on is the one bolt directley in the center of the hub on the outside of wheel I took it out and it is 8 mm . Anyone know for sure about this ? as far as I can tell it must be an 8 mm version . Thanks.

That's correct. The type of half-shaft is determined, I think, buy the hub on the car, they are not interchangeable unless you also change the hub.

I've had both styles in my car... not a problem.

You'd just have to get the right spacer/washer/bolt combination for either.

Also, if you get into it... both the annular or homokinetic axles will fit too!!! I've got one of each in my car right now!!!

My prefered supplier is the OEM gkn/lobro for new or rebuilt assemblies.
