none participators

Ever noticed how many are logged on up at the top of the page, but are people I never seem to see participating here? No offense at all, but come on in guys! Have a seat. Put your feet up. Give us your thoughts.

I have also noticed that, I almost feel that I am not posting enough. Maybe I should make an effort and pick up the slack for all of those who are logged on, but not posting that much.

I don't know.. on the other hand maybe we should have confidance that they are the best judge of whether they have something to contribute...and concentrate on making our posts as interesting as possible... ( while sticking to the truth of course )....

I only post when I'm pretty sure I can help. But, by reading, you can find many answers already given to a multitude of questions previously (?) raised. My $0.015

My comments are of little use. I'm saving valuable server space by not contributing a lot. Actually, most of my posts are usually questions, many of which are stupid. Sorry guys.

as a "newbie" i will most likely be a "taker" rather than a giver
for quite some time. with over 50000 posts to diesel alone, i can
spend an entire day in here surfing. (my wife thinks i've got this
on-line thing going on, ya know . . .)

there's so much to learn and so little time! i'm also amazed at some of the more interesting (unorthodox?) suggestions that
get posted, but hey -- who am i to be a nay sayer?

i only wish i'd known about you all when i had my 72 250 with
those nasty carbs! it was basically on its way to the junk yard
when i got it, but i got hooked, and even though it only had heat
at running speed and was 75% rust, i got hooked.

just give me time --

OK, point taken. Being new I have been looking for good info but I will try to post more and that will be initially within my realm of extensive experience, which is asking STUPID QUESTIONS. Like: the cam on my 82 300SD "looks" pretty good, but how can I tell if the lobes are OK? The shop manual says look for flats, but how much wear qualifies, etc.?

Wink

Hey, this is great. Most of the time around here (home) no one wants to talk about my car as much as I do! As soon as I start explaining how I found traced the one dead glow plug or the latest vacuum leak or replaced the sway bar link the kids' and wife's eyes roll up and I'm done! Anyway, just trying to reserve comment for the few times I know what I'm talking about...

Hey, just turned 382,000 miles in an 1100 mile trip this week. Started without block heater after a night below "0" F and then just blew down I-81 at 80 - 85 mph without even trying... not bad for an $860 purchase on Ebay.

I'd post a picture of the darn thing if I could figure out how to resize the file!

Merry Christmas, All!
