Power window switch problem?
Hello all,
This obviously is not a diesel question, however I know their are several of you with the older cars that may have experience in this area. The passenger side rear window will go down, but not up, with either the console or the door switch. I swapped the two rear door switches which eliminated the door switch as the problem. I understand that the problem could be at the B-pillar, but was wondering if anyone knows if the console switch could be the porblem? Thanks for your time and Merry Christmas! Doug

The console switch had dirty contacts within the mechanism. It was not allowing power to get to up side of either the front switch or the rear switch.
The moral of the story is: If the motor will work in one direction (why do they seem to ALWAYS work going down?) and not the other, it is probably one of the switches. Doug
