Just curious... do MT versions of this engine have a vacuum modulator on the side of the IP like AT versions do? Can an AT modulator be fitted if there isn't one?

Again, just curious. I have no intention of converting an MT to AT or AT to MT.

Why do you ask? I'm not 100% sure, but I would see no reason why a MT car would have a vacuum modulator. You control the shifting with the stick and the clutch.

I was wondering if MB made IPs like 617 heads such that you can't just pop a cover plate to use a sedan head in a wagon.
