Woo Hoo
Your vehicle has been loaded to vessel EWA which is scheduled to arrive at HONOLULU on 01-05-2003 :D :D
I've got some standing water in my trunk that I hope isn't too bad, but regardless I cant wait to finally get my hands on this thing. |
Excellent! I bet you can't wait.
Post some pictures and some seat of the pants opinions as soon as you drive the car. How in the world did water get in the trunk? |
Congrats!!
Just wondering, what port is the car being shipped out of? |
Los Angeles...It took 2 weeks from drop off to loading. Why do you ask?
Aloha |
I was just curious; I work for a tug/launch company in San Francisco, as a deckhand on the launch boats that serve container ships and oil tankers at anchor. There's a shipping company called Matson that does numerous runs between Hawaii and the Port of Oakland, and has a deck(s) for auto transport. I've helped transport crewmembers to a couple of their ships.
Again, I was just wondering :) Again, congrats!! |
Yeah it's Matson---They seemed to be well-respected and fairly inexpensive. They charge 875 to and from Hawaii. I just hope it came under deck or containerized. They said 90% of the cars are shipped that way, but they could not guarantee it. My fingers are crossed...Aloha

Matson used to be THE steamship line to Hawaii...
From before 1900 on...had famous passenger liners like the Lurline and Malolo in the days before jets, as well as freighters.

CONGRATULATIONS 1STTIMER!!!! So, are we meeting at the Ward Starbuck's to admire each other's diesels??? I am just as excited as you thinking about that car on the freighter. I am hoping to post some pics of my Wunderwagen and we really need to get a Hawaii group started....
