Congrats to Me !
Today I successfully test-drove my 1980 300D after completing the flex-disc failure repairs. To my amazement the car drove great.
It shifted just as well as it did prior to the failure. All of the doom and gloom that I had felt for nothing. Also this post makes my 100th, and for me that is a milestone! Robert |

Way to go Robert - there shouldn't be anything you can't do now that you have completed the flex disc job.

Bill....last time I looked at the front disk, it had some small cracks. I don't think it's an immediate threat but it *is* something want to get done in the next couple months.
I'm just leary about the actual R&R....this is, again, one of those type parts I've never changed before....which always makes me nervous Chris '85 300SD |

Bill,
I really thought it wouldn't drive again with that transmission. BTW, did you see I got Robert Talley's 300SD! I also got the headlight adjuster working! What a great car, each day I drive it I feel fortunate that I found it. It now feels really weird to know that I can drive any one of my four Mercedes! turbodiesel - "Welcome back!" I have been here all along, I am just not a big poster. I will try to be more of one though, as I strive to hit my 200 post milestone! Robert |
