power window ????
I have a non-functional driverside rear window since I bought the car. While hitting the switch today I can hear the motor running both up and down and a light grinding noise but no window movement. Since it appears the motor works is this an easy fix? What do I need before I tear into it? Thanks, RT

Most probably a window regulator. At worst you need the motor I guess.. (dohh.. smart suggestion Holson)
Anyway, Try tearing the door panel apart and see what's going on. I figured out why my rear windows shouldn't be used until I fix them by doing so. The coupe's rear windows are a pain to attend to.... I figured that I could actually use my rear windows if I don't keep pressing the button when the window is already up. Because the window lifter mechanism bends a piece that holds the glass... (window guide or something) - that motor's a lil too strong I guess. If the car had manual crank windows I bet they'd still be working by now.... Good luck, If you are not sure maybe you can bring the regulator to the meet and have somebody look at it Somebody with enough body heat or who just loves sub-zero temperatures (in Celcius that is)

Over time, the alloy casting warps on these window regulators, allowing the motor gear to disengage from the window gear. I have been able to straighten and reinforce one of these but it's alot of work. Best option is a NEW regulator.
Happy Motoring, Mark
