does Diesel Purge cause smoke while cleaning?

Should I expect a lot of exhaust smoke while running Diesel Purge through the system? The instructions say it takes about 10 minutes to go through a can. I don't think the neighbors will appreciate being fumigated.

If it's a smoky job, will it harm anything to run a dryer hose between the tail pipes and the house's rain spout so the smoke is 20' above the ground?

Thanks,
Sixto

Sixto, just wondering, did you find the Diesel Purge locally, or did you order it?

Another thing I'm sure I need to do to my car...

The Warden, I ordered Diesel Purge from performance products last time because I couldn't find it locally.

I later found an MB diesel shop that has it though...

BTW,
I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to run a hose from the exhaust pipe to the rain spout.

Good thing about that is probably you wouldn't smell the diesel fume at all

Exhaust fumes in a water downspoutin the state of CA? Better check before doing that. CA probably has a law on the books prohibiting an act that might pollute the water.

Dammit lad, you worried about cry-baby neighbors *****in about the smoke??

If it was me, I'd welcome the opportunity to explain to them that diesels polute far less than gasoline engines.

Then remind them that most states hold diesels imune to emissions tests, as diesels dont register carbon monoxide levels at all.

Ah, the sound and smell of diesel engines...... kinda reminds us we are operating a machine, doesnt it?

Normally, I'd agree, but he (and I) is almost in the center of Hippieville...land of fruits and nuts Less than an hours' drive from Berkeley, eh?

In fact, if he did put out enough white smoke, the neighbors could (and, knowing the Bay Area, probably would call the cops on him.

I don't blame him for being worred at all...you're right that diesels pollute less, of course, but good luck explaining that to a treehugger...
