Ebay 240D Opinions Please

Incorrectly listed as having an automatic transmission. Also the description is "240 D" so it didn't show up when I searched for "240D". I think these things are holding the bidding down. Only 1 day left, so please post your opinions quickly.

The car looks pretty good, I think, especially for the price. I love my 82 240D.

For the current price, I don't see how you can pass it up, even up to $1,500 as Txbill says.

TXBILL............"dookie"..............LOL

Hey - I might be bidding against you.

I should remind you that diesel cars are very undesireable.

They are VERY noisy. They put out a lot of black smoke - this is uncool and people will talk about you. And that diesel fuel really stinks - plus, it has been proven to cause cancer in laboratory rats. Besides that, its a GERMAN car, and those crazy Germans are not supporting us in the war on terrorism.

Man, don't ever buy a MERCEDES DIESEL.

Go for it Ken.

I would like to see somebody here get it. I'm not bidding because the Minister of Finance said "Not at this time". I might be back in the market in a month or 2.

Seems like a nice car. Hard to find one with no rust on the East Coast. Get a guarantee of no rust and fire away. Someone here should be interested. RT

"minister of finance" LOL

Wink $1575.00

Well, I hope one of you got it.
Someone must know how to work ebay to get a bid in in the last 6 seconds, congrats.
$1575.00 may be a little much for txbill but it should be a fair price if it really has "no dents or rust anywhere" and is as described.
Good Luck.

"mister of finance" - that is perfect!

Well, Ken300, was it you?

No, I was not seriously interested. Maybe at $1000. I was just practicing my SPIN for when something comes up that really gets my interest. You have to work the crowd.

"If you buy that diesel Mercedes, you are supporting terrorism."

I guess if the economy was going good I'd have another two or three cars I don't need by now. So that's one good thing about the rotten job market - I'm nervous enough about job stability that I've cut spending way back and am getting out of debt.
