Update

Hi,

Ok, so with about 30-40 seconds of cranking and my foot all the way down on the "gas" pedal it started up...kinda shakey - having to hold the pedal down til it really fired up. I noticed that with the normal HUGE cloud of blue some there was a point where some dark brown/blackish smoke came out too? It also left a nice black mark on the floor or the garage under the muffler! That didn't reallly happen like that before. I am wondering if it has anything to do with the oil change I had done. I had rotella t 15w40 put in, but when I checked it cold the other day it was about an inch or so above the max mark...is that too much, I am going to check it again after it has been running. Could this effect it...the car starts up fine when it is warm, overnights seem to kill it these days! For example, on my return trip I spent a good 3 hours getting it going, met up with a lady friend for dinner on my way out (good 1.5 hours) then got in...viola' it started perfectly. I will do some checking of the glowplugs when I get the ballz to work in such cold weather...I may toss this one in the garage (heated? up the street so I can bring the FAAT spider home to get working on!!! Baaha...too many cars!

Thanks again,
-Kurt

Might not apply, but it sure sounds from these symptoms as if the fuel is draining out of your injector lines. Might be a good idea to check the tighness of the fuel lines going from the IP to the injectors.
