W123 Rubber Parts

Hi All,
My 300D (83) needs the cloth covered rubber gasket that go around the door openings. I am hoping either someone might know of a source or can maybe tell me what the things are called. This is not the door seal, it's inside the car.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Try these guys.

I don't see it listed, but maybe with a phone call they can help you out or direct you to the right place.

Me too

Some of those areas in my MB could be fixed to improve interior looks. I think the only thing to do is go to an interior restoration shop. It will be rather expensive.

If you don't mind the "black rubber look", you can simply pull the fabric cover off and leave the rubber underneath. That is what I have always done and it looks fine. In fact, the MLs that I have been in have just the same rubber trim without the cloth covering. Alternatively, you could simply match color and weave of original fabric and cut and glue for recover.

Good luck.

Dealer part,

Took me 3 orderings to get the correct part... They ordered the passenger side, but the drivers side kept coming in=)

It was really annoying me looking at the strip on my other wise clean interior. Don't remember if it was $35 or $50-but it made me feel better.

Do you mean the fabric covered things on the front part of the door opening? Those are called "edge guards". The smaller fabric that lines the edges of the center pillar is called a "seal rail".

speedy300Dt,

Where does someone get some "seal rails"? Mine are falling apart... I couldn't find the part on the MB Parts Catalog...

BTW - Your web address in the signaure isn't working.

what seal are you looking for?

I still haven't found the aux-waterpump in the EPC. Just takes some time digging.

think I like your approach best. The "black rubber" would look better than the "shredded" look. Then re assess the "look". that was a good solution to the 'krinkley" plastic around the window frames.

I don't think the rubber look is possible with the seal rails. Without the fabric, there is nothing to hold it together.

I think the rubber look is only for the edge guards...
