weight of a 5 cylinder diesel/tranny?

Anyone know what the turbo diesel weighs with all components as well as the auto tranny. both are from a 83 300sd? thanks Mike

I just recently dropped the engine/tranny combo into my 300D and I had the adjustable lift set on 1/2 ton. I suspect it weighs between 6 and 8 hundred pounds.

Try doing a search, I remember a few months someone posted a link with the weight of the engine. I am guessing the transmission weighs somewhere around 100lbs.
